Every good thing must come to an end at some point. i've talked about the history of music, the different styles through the genres, and the history of instruments, but now i'm going to talk about something equally as important. the tragedies in music history. i decided to talk about this because its good to remember the ones who made an impact and left too soon.  here are some famous singers who passed away and made an impact on music history before they left.

1. Buddy Holly (September 7th 1936- February 3rd 1959) - He was a 50's legend known as the pioneer of blues rock. he made some great songs that topped the charts before his untimely death caused by a plane crash on his was to North Dakota

2. John Bonham (May 31st 1948- September 25th 1980)- he was a drummer for Led Zeppelin and was known for his driving rock beats and his lyrical and mysterious poetry. He later died from an alcohol overdose but is still loved today by many fans.

3. Janis Joplin (January 19th 1943- October 4th 1970)- she was well known for her peace and love songs and she was also known for her love of humanity, this caused many people to love and adore her. her life got cut short when she chocked on a ham sandwich.

4.Bob Marley (February 6th 1945- May 11th 1981)- He was one of the most important reggae musicians in Jamaica and had several chart topping hits. He was part of a reggae/rocksteady group called the wailers but later died at the age of 35 from cancer. His music is still quite popular today in several places around the world.

5. Elvis Presley (January 8th 1935- August 16th 1977)- He was known as the worlds greatest musician and actor (even though that's quite debatable) he released tons of albums and movies before his fairly sudden death. he was found dead in his Las Vegas apartment reportedly due to an overdose.

6. John Lennon (October 9th 1940 - December 8th 1980)- He was originally with the beetles before he went on his own and became known as the greatest singer/songwriter at the time and was also one of the biggest names. His death was caused by an obsessed fan who gunned him down in front of his house and killed him.

7. Patsy Cline (September 8th 1932- March 5th 1963)- She only had 9 songs on the billboard country charts before her death. she wrote beautiful songs about love and lost love she even did some really good covers of other singers songs. she was well loved around the world and is still loved around the world and more albums of her singing are still being released today and even some movies about her life.. she tragically died at the age of 30 due to a plane crash in 1963

All of these musicians left too soon and sadly left in tragic ways. These unique artists made an impact in some way in the music industry changing music history and making music history. Even though they have passed on they're all still in fans hearts and on fans mind to never be forgotten and to live on in memory..... Now its time to pay some respect to the gone but not forgotten.
